Hi everyone!
Elder Griffin & Elder Forester (from St. George!!!) on splits in Liberty Lake, WA |
It's been a pretty good week overall!
Monday
we had a nice visit with the Barnard family, they aren't ready to come
back to church, but they're willing to let us into their home and share a
message, so it's always nice to visit with them.
Tuesday we
helped clean up a church swap meet and got some nice things for our
apartment, like a rice maker. we spent the afternoon helping a recent
convert move her things and had a lot of fun.
Wednesday
we drove to spokane to trade out our car and were able to stop by the
mission home and I got a couple suits that will hopefully last me till
the end of my mission and we also got to meet up with Melissa and BIll
for dinner! it was so fun to see her! She's doing great lately!
Thursday
we weekly planned and did service at the foodbank. It was a good and
busy afternoon and they even gave us some leftover artisan bread, which
was really good with dinner that evening. Thursday
evening we went to Amber's house and found out she was able to buy her
trailer, so now she doesn't have to pay as much rent! it was really
exciting, we were also able to talk to them about her son getting the
priesthood and hopefully he'll do that in the next couple weeks!
Friday
we had zone training and had a really good meeting. That evening we had
dinner at the Maxfields and had really good chili! (just like dad
makes!) Most of the rest of the day was uneventful.
Saturday
we visited a few different people, but had a difficult time getting in
to anyone, so lots of walking in the nice cool weather. We did drop off
some things to the Picarellas and they're doing well.
Sunday
we had a really good day at church and then went to Kelly's for a
lesson, We taught her about the blessings of the gospel and she made a
really cool connection about the role of baptism in our relationship
with Heavenly Father. We also had a lesson with the Picarellas, we
taught them about family history and Tom got really excited about it,
it's going to be a good thing for their family to do together.
That's my week!
Love you guys!
Elder Bryce Griffin
