Hey everyone!
My weeks been really crazy, so I'll just start in on it!

Monday we spent most of the day at Dr's appt's for Elder Williams, for dinner we made potato wedges in our apartment, it was really good It was a good evening together. That night we got the official call from president about Elder Williams heading home. It was tough news, but it was what he needed to have happen.

So Tuesday morning we went to Orphan Acres and had a really good time with the district and then Elder Williams left that afternoon. I ended up staying with the Troy and Potlach elders, Elder Keightly and Elder Cuevas. It was a really good time with them. Great elders and it was a delight to be there companions.

Wednesday we did a lot of good work in rolling hills, saw jan and helaine and then i got dropped off with the bacon family, Bro bacon spent the evening with me. We had a really good lesson with the hooper family who are moving soon and we had a good porch lesson with kelly on the porch. It was great!

After church bishop and I went to the Deobalds and had a really good lesson on the atonement. It was really good. Kelly opened up a lot and we were able to help resolve some concerns she was having. Afterwards bishop dropped me off at the Bacons for dinner. It was really delicious, lots of fun. They are a great family. Love them!

Zone Meeting

March 21, 2016

 Hey everyone!

It's been a good week!

Monday last week we played games at the stake center for p-day and had a good time. Afterwards Elder Williams and I contacted a referral and got the "I'm catholic" response. Seems like we get that one a lot!

Tuesday we went to Orphan Acres and spent the entire time scraping mud off of a bulldozer. it was pretty good work, definitely hard, but it was good. Then we had lunch with the district. Elder Williams made spaghetti (again) it's his specialty and we've been having it for dinner at least twice a week if not more. it's really good though. That evening we had 'get to it Tuesday' and played some pioneer games with the kids in the ward. I dominated the stick pull game, although i was nearly twice everyone's size. Afterwards we went to our apartment and were inspected, we passed with flying colors! it was fun to see the Gough's again!

Wednesday we did service for a less active sister, a wind storm broke a bunch of branches off of her tree so we cleaned them up. Then we went and visited Helaine in Good Sams. It was a really nice visit and she gave us cookies when we left. For dinner we went to Subway, good times. Probably the fast food I've eaten the most on my mission, that or pizza. then we went to Amber's house and had a lesson and played with her pets. (Elder Williams loves animals.)

Thursday we weekly planned and went to the food bank as usual. It was really good, lots of good things to do. We helped unload a pickup truck full of canned food and biscuit mix. it was enjoyable. Then we had spaghetti for dinner and went to the bible study that Elder Fogle and Forrester run.

Friday we had district meeting, which is always really good, then Sis Thompson made chili for lunch and we brought bread, it was a lot of fun. Then we went to the Stellmons and had a lesson with Kristin on the word of wisdom, she really liked it and she's working towards living it. It was a great lesson. Then we went to the Thompson's for dinner and taught about family mission plans. which is something I've been studying a lot about lately! It was a great lesson and they're committed to coming up with a family mission plan!
Saturday we visited with Jan out in Syringa and had a quick lesson, then we went to Good Sams and played cards with Lester, he wasn't doing the best, but we were able to brighten his day a bit after chatting with him for a while. For dinner we went with Sis Hall to Gambino's Italian restaurant. it was super delicious and super fun to visit with the Hall family. They're great.

Sunday we had a fairly regular day, nothing too eventful. We met with Kelly and had a good lesson on the plan of salvation, it made it so we were able to resolve a couple concerns she's had. We also had dinner with the Zirkers, it was a really good meal and it was a lot of fun to get to know them better! It was Bro Zirker's birthday too, so that was exciting. It was really good.

That was my week!
Love ya'll Elder Griffin

We also went tracting and saw a couple really cool miracles! We found one family that may very well turn into investigators! we also talked for about 30 mins to a menanite!
Tuesday  we had specialized training from the dymocks, it was really good and we learned a lot about finding and teaching. afterwards we went on exchanges and elder Forrester came with me.

Swap meet, service & teaching make for a great week!

March 7, 2016
Hi everyone!
Elder Griffin & Elder Forester (from St. George!!!)
on splits in Liberty Lake, WA

It's been a pretty good week overall!

Monday we had a nice visit with the Barnard family, they aren't ready to come back to church, but they're willing to let us into their home and share a message, so it's always nice to visit with them.

Tuesday we helped clean up a church swap meet and got some nice things for our apartment, like a rice maker. we spent the afternoon helping a recent convert move her things and had a lot of fun.

Wednesday we drove to spokane to trade out our car and were able to stop by the mission home and I got a couple suits that will hopefully last me till the end of my mission and we also got to meet up with Melissa and BIll for dinner! it was so fun to see her! She's doing great lately!

Thursday we weekly planned and did service at the foodbank. It was a good and busy afternoon and they even gave us some leftover artisan bread, which was really good with dinner that evening. Thursday evening we went to Amber's house and found out she was able to buy her trailer, so now she doesn't have to pay as much rent! it was really exciting, we were also able to talk to them about her son getting the priesthood and hopefully he'll do that in the next couple weeks!

Friday we had zone training and had a really good meeting. That evening we had dinner at the Maxfields and had really good chili! (just like dad makes!) Most of the rest of the day was uneventful.

Saturday we visited a few different people, but had a difficult time getting in to anyone, so lots of walking in the nice cool weather. We did drop off some things to the Picarellas and they're doing well.

Sunday we had a really good day at church and then went to Kelly's for a lesson, We taught her about the blessings of the gospel and she made a really cool connection about the role of baptism in our relationship with Heavenly Father. We also had a lesson with the Picarellas, we taught them about family history and Tom got really excited about it, it's going to be a good thing for their family to do together.

That's my week!

Love you guys!
